R70.01. This section contains all continuing resolutions regarding the Education Board of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

R70.02. The Education Board is established by the Congregation Council as a permanent Ministry Board and reports to the Congregation Council through the assigned Council liaison.

R70.03. The purpose of the Education Board is to develop and operate programs of education in the Christian faith for all members of the congregation and all others who wish to participate. It shall supervise the Sunday School, recruit teachers, provide teaching materials, and encourage growth in Christian knowledge on the part of all.

R70.04. Specific duties and responsibilities of the Education Board:

a. Shall together with the Pastors and the Director of Education, be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, promoting, supervising and evaluating all Christian education programs and activities of the congregation.

b. Shall appoint individuals to be Sunday School Coordinator, Adult Education Chairperson, Confirmation Administrator and Vacation Bible School Coordinator that possess suitable education training or experience and a committee to Christian values.

c. Shall develop, coordinate and maintain educational subcommittees and evaluate and recommend policies for the supervision of Sunday School, Adult Education, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School and the Library.

d. Shall develop and maintain other or alternate educational committees of the Education Board as the need arises.

e.Shall supervise and evaluate the activities of all personnel of the education subcommittees that involve the:

    1. Enlistment of adequate teaching and administrative staffs for all agencies.

    2. Training of educational personnel.

    3. Recognition of education personnel.

    4. Processing and distributing of educational curriculum, materials and supplies including audio-visual aids.

    5.Planning and implementing of educational programs.

    6. Budgeting for educational programs.
