CONTINUING RESOLUTIONS
OF THE COUNCIL
OF SAINT PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH
Section 2 – Organization of Continuing Resolutions
R2.01. The purpose of this section is to define the organization and categorization of the continuing resolutions of the Congregation Council.
R2.02. The Council establishes the following structure for the organization of its continuing resolutions.
a. Continuing Resolutions are intended for the purpose of documenting all actions of the Council that are intended to be part of the Council’s continuing governance for the congregation.
b. Any Council action which is intended to remain in force and effect beyond a period of 6 months, must be established as a Continuing Resolution.
c. Every section within the body of Continuing Resolutions shall have an initial resolution which describes the purpose of that section.
R2.03. The Council may rearrange the sequence numbering of the continuing resolutions at the Council’s discretion.
R2.04. The master copy of all current Continuing Resolutions shall be maintained by the Council Secretary. The Secretary shall maintain a current copy for the Church Office.
R2.05. A copy of the current Continuing Resolutions shall be provided to each new council member upon their election or appointment.
R2.06. A copy of the current Continuing Resolutions shall be maintained on the church website.
